Happy Thanksgiving

I'm Thankful for . . .

I woke up this morning at 6am, racking my brain at something profound to say but all I could think of is that I am truly thankful for my hubby, my kids, and my extended family. But to me it goes further than that.
I'm thankful for the times that my kids wrap their arms around me and to their best ability tell me they love me. I'm thankful for the times that my husband and kids put their dishes away, or the times I get asked "Can I do anything to help you mom?". I'm thankful when I see my daughter walk in from school safe and sound, when my kids come in from playing without a scratch, and of the hugs I get when I'm not feeling well.

I'm thankful for the little eyes that light up and the brightest smiles you have ever seen when I walk in my children's rooms to say Good morning. I'm thankful when my tired husband comes home even if it's in a bad mood. At least he's home and safe.

I'm thankful that my son is a picky eater. At least he can eat what he wants now without a feeding tube. I'm thankful for the silly dances I get because I know he can finally hear music. For all those messy faces and dirty hands because sometimes what they got into has made me laugh!

I'm thankful for the "Hi Tiff, Glad you see you's " at Church. Because I know that they are genuinely glad to see me. I'm thankful for all the comments on my blog everyday because I know I have many many bloggy friends.
I'm thankful for the fourth phone call of the day from my grandmother. At least she is still here to celebrate Thanksgiving with us. I'm thankful for the cooking lessons my mother in law has given me because I know she enjoys my company.

I could go on and on with this but I'm tired and I want to go back to bed for at least another hour. But I'm not just thankful for all the standard things as a house, family, kids but the things that make up our lives. The little things that we take for granted.
Here's to hoping that you and your families enjoy your time together today. Remember. . when you see those smiles and the laughter. . . Be thankful that there is smiles and Laughter .
Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours

Likewise - the profound escaped me but the ordinary is more than enough to be thankful for.

I love comments!!! I will try to reply to your comments. But please be patient. I have three kiddos in the house and sometimes I am a tad preoccupied.
